Cyclone separator
Drying
Cyclone separators are used for the mechanical separation of solid particles (e.g., sawdust, dust, wood chips, fly ash) from flowing air or exhaust gases. Their operating principle is based on centrifugal force – contaminated air is tangentially blown into a cylindrical chamber, where it spins and creates a vortex. As a result of centrifugal force, solid particles are thrown against the walls of the separator, from where they fall into a collection container, while the cleaned air rises up the center and is carried away.
